Improve Your Under Sink Grease Management with Aqua Mundus

Under sink (above ground) grease traps are available as compact passive manual traps or fully automatic self-cleaning systems for commercial kitchens. They can be easily accessed and serviced by either an engineer from Aqua Mundus, or for lower maintenance units, by a member of your establishment.

We would always recommend a planned preventative maintenance program on all grease management solutions to make sure your system always remains compliant.

Don’t Just Take Our Word for It

We Install a Range of Under Sink (Above Ground) Systems

Aqua Mundus can expertly install a variety of different internal grease traps to meet the specific needs of your commercial kitchen installation whether it’s a new build or an existing setup.

Expert Under Sink (Above Ground) Grease Trap Installers

Passive (Manual) Above Ground Grease Traps

Non-automatic grease traps are a popular type of above ground grease trap solution. They separate FOG manually using a simple gravity separation process that does not require an energy source but does need to be regularly emptied manually. There are a variety of passive grease traps available depending on the size of your kitchen and its requirements.

We can supply compact polyethylene and stainless steel grease traps for internal commercial kitchen installations, including point-of-source systems designed for smaller and medium-sized foodservice environments. Businesses requiring larger-capacity interceptor systems, such as centralised grease management solutions, may be better suited to our below-ground grease interceptors.

Automatic Above Ground Grease Removal Units

Automatic above ground grease trap installations can significantly reduce the amount of manual grease removal required and simplify ongoing grease management. These units save a lot of manual work hours and require minimal to zero maintenance, providing you with peace of mind.

This type of grease trap can also remove solid food waste particles and eliminate foul odours that can sometimes be found in manual grease traps. Automatic units are equipped with timers or sensors for self-cleaning and are ideal for compact point-of-source grease management applications.

Our automatic under sink range includes selected GreaseShield and Big Dipper units designed for at-source commercial kitchen applications.

Compact At-Source Installation

Many above-ground grease traps are designed for compact under sink and point-of-source installations, making them suitable for commercial kitchens where space is limited.

These systems can be installed close to sinks, pre-rinse stations and other kitchen equipment, helping capture fats, oils and grease before they enter the wider drainage system.

Ongoing Under Sink Trap Maintenance Plans

We offer comprehensive ongoing maintenance plans to ensure that your grease trap continues to operate effectively and remains compliant with all regulations. Regular servicing and cleaning by our professional team is crucial to avoid costly breakdowns and maintain optimal performance.

These plans are especially beneficial for above ground grease traps in commercial kitchen settings, where downtime can significantly impact service and revenue.
